Projections 1980-2000 of economic and demographic variables for CFM II

Projections of economic and demographic variables by year for the period 1980 to 2000 and historical estimates for selected years 1959 to 1976 are prepared for the US, California, and certain economic regions and approximations to utility service areas of California. The economic and demographic variables for California and all economic regions and utility areas included in the report are: total population; occupied households; personal income in $1975; taxable sales in $1975; total jobs; agricultural, total non-agricultural wage and salary, and other non agricultural jobs; total jobs by 2-digit SIC manufacturing and nonmanufacturing industries; housing stock by type; new housing units by types. For California, LAB, SDG and E, Sacramento SMSA, and PGE, the variables included are: wage and salary payment in $1975 by 2-digit SIC manufacturing and nonmanufacturing industries (all areas); value added in $1975 by 2-digit SIC manufacturing industries (California only). The economic and demographic variables for the US are: total population; GNP in $1975; personal income in $1975; personal consumption expenditure deflator; total jobs; total jobs by 2-digit SIC manufacturing and nonmanufacturing industries; wage and salary payments in $1975 by 2-digit SIC manufacturing and nonmanufacturing industries; and value added in $1975 by 2-digit SIC manufacturing industries; yield on 3 to 5-year government bonds; yield on 3-month Treasury bills; and Aaa bond rate.
