Thermogravimetric determination of vapor pressure of diffusion pump oils by Knudsen effusion cell technique

A procedure has been developed for the determination of vapor pressure of diffusion pump oils using a Knudsen effusion cell in conjunction with a vacuum balance. The extrapolated vapor pressure of the diffusion pump oils evaluated ranged from 4 x 10/sup -8/ to 2 x 10/sup -6/ torr at 20/sup 0/C.
