In a fireplace stove, a body having a door opening, a tubular door frame of metal extending at least partially around the door opening, a door detachably secured to the door frame, the door frame having a draft inlet opening and a draft outlet opening spaced along the door frame from the inlet opening, and damper means for adjustably controlling flow of air through the door frame from the inlet opening to the outlet opening.
