Theoretical stability analysis of flowing oil wells and gas-lift wells

The unsteady equations of motion for flow out of naturally flowing and gas-lift wells are derived and then solved by the Laplace transform method. This analysis produces a characteristic equation with coefficients that allow determination of the stability of a particular well.
