As a result of submarine and bomber retirements, and a new emphasis on conventional missions for the bomber force, the number of strategic weapons decreased slightly over the last year. A table included with the discussion lists the type of armaments, launcher, year deployed, yield, total number of warheads, and total megaton yield.
