The following solar input variables were measured from March 1979 to October 1979 in Cabauw in the Netherlands: (1) the global solar irradiance, with an Eppley pyranometer, for five different orientations; (2) the direct solar irradiance on a surface perpendicular to the sunbeam, with an Eppley pyrheliometer; and (3) the ground-reflected solar irradiance, with an Eppley pyranometer in the inverted position.
