Topics include: flue gas cleanup, waste management, regional energy policy program for the northern Great Plains, turbine combustion phenomena, combustion inorganic transformation, liquefaction reactivity of low-rank coals, gasification ash and slag characterization, coal science, fluidized bed combustion, beneficiation of low-rank coals, combustion characterization of low- rank coal fuels, diesel utilization of low-rank coals, produce and characterize HWD fuels for heat engine applications, low-rank coal direct liquefaction, production of hydrogen and by-products from coals, and chemistry of sulfur removal in mild gas.
