Attenuation effectiveness of the Hanford reactor iron masonite shields

In order to determine deterioration rates and their dependence on temperature conditions, this report updates information on biological shield temperatures and neutron leakages measured at the B, D, DR, F, and H reactors. For anticipated reactor operations during the next 10 y, radioactive leakage escaping the reactor shields will not present any significant problems; however, additional measures will be required for protection around the areas adjacent to the tops of some of the reactors.
