A process is described for inhibiting color deterioration of distillate fuel oil. It comprises adding to the fuel oil an effective inhibiting amount of a mixture of (a) triethylenetetramine and (b) N,N-diethylhydroxylamine, wherein the weight ratio of (a):(b) is at least about 1.5:3.
