Multigrid methods: Theory, applications, and supercomputing; Proceedings of the Third Copper Mountain Conference, Copper Mountain, CO, Apr. 5-10, 1987

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6757608

Multigrid (MG) computational methods and their applications are examined in reviews and reports of recent investigations. Topics discussed include MG acceleration of a two-dimensional full potential flow solver, fast pseudoinverse algorithms on hypercubes, MG methods for fermion computations in QCD, design and implementation of parallel MG algorithms, and MG Euler solvers. Consideration is given to Fourier estimates for MG methods in three-dimensional elasticity, MG methods for the NASA/Princeton Navier-Stokes Computer, the simple pressure-correction method as a nonlinear smoother, and a cell-centered MG for interface problems.
