An application of estimation-identification approach of multiple bad data in power system state estimation

This paper gives an illustration of the application of The Estimation-Identification Approach (EIA) presented in ref. (1) for a special metering system--The Only-line Metering System (AEP). A new method of detection of suspected data based upon analysis of the elements of the residue sensitivity matrix is described. The utilization of the EIA based upon the search of suspected residue has been proved to be very rapid and effective for identifying multiple bad data in power system state estimation. Utilization of the special properties of the element of the residue sensitivity matrix in such a special metering system contributes to decrease their storage greatly. It implies that the practical application of the EIA can be achieved in power system state estimation. The most important characteristic of the new method is that all the informations required for detecting and identifying multiple bad data are taken at the current sampling time.
