An improved model for the connecting nozzle between the prechamber and main chamber has resulted in the solution of mass conservation and spatial step size dependencey problems. The qualitative nature of the flow out of the prechamber is also in better agreement with the results of the photographic investigations. Effects of ignition location on the rate of combustion were investigated with the combustion model. Work on the intake gas dynamic model for the prechamber intake system was temporarily discontinued. The use of fuel additives has increased the luminosity of lean flames enabling increased quality of high speed motion pictures at engine speeds up to 1700 rpm. A new main chamber fuel injection system is being installed in order to increase accuracy of fuel air ratio measurements.
