Performance of the Intel iPSC/860 hypercube

The performance of the Intel iPSC/860 hypercube is contrasted with earlier hypercubes from Intel and Ncube. Computation and communication performance for a number of low-level benchmarks are presented for the Intel iPSC/1 hypercube, the Ncube hypercube, the Intel iPSC/2 hypercube, and the new Intel iPSC/860 hypercube. Performance of the concurrent file system of the iPSC/860 hypercube is also reported. 13 refs., 10 figs., 8 tabs.
