Standard method of sampling liquefied petroleum (LP) gases

Procedures are described for obtaining representative samples of liquified petroleum gases, such as propane, butane, or mixtures of these two, in metal, corrosion-resistant sample containers. The liquid is transferred from the source into the sample container by purging the container and filling it with the liquid to 80 percent of capacity.
