Inclusive properties and reconstruction of B mesons

Thesis/Dissertation ·
OSTI ID:6741538
Measurements associated with B mesons produced in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilations at the upsilon(4S) resonance were reported. The data were collected with the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR). Multiplicity, momentum and shape distributions are given for BB and non-resonant continuum data. These distributions are used to provide a picture of an average B decay. Inclusive properties of the continuum data are compared to non-resonant e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilations at other center of mass energies. Several methods of B meson reconstruction are discussed. Upper limits on B decay into all charged, low multiplicity final states are presented.
