Radiation from moving mirrors: The creation and absorption of particles

Journal Article · · Ann. Phys. (N.Y.); (United States)
A massless scalar quantized field is studied in a region bounded by two mirrors, one of which has an in-out motion. The space time is bidimensional and flat. A simple criterion is found to build motion with and without particle creation. The spectrum of the created particles is computed in some cases and conjectures on their origin are made.
