On the reaction mechanism of the alpha transfer reaction for /sup 16/O(/sup 16/O,/sup 12/C)/sup 20/Ne

The oscillatory structure appearing in the differential cross section of the reaction /sup 16/O(/sup 16/O,/sup 12/C)/sup 20/Ne may be explained by particle transfer from covalent channel to ionic channel in the nuclear molecular orbital theory.
