Steady-state pulses in solid-state lasers with passive mode locking

The regime of steady-state pulses in lasers with noninertial passive filtering is investigated theoretically. Conditions for the stability of the regime are determined, and the dependence of the duration and shape of the pulses on the system parameters is obtained. Steady-state pulses are of interest for creating generators of ultrashort pulses of high reproductivity and with tunable parameters. On the introduction of inertial negative feedback the pulse duration can reach the transverse relaxation time of the active medium.
