Developing laminar free convection in a heated vertical open-ended concentric annulus

Numerical results are presented for the problem of laminar, free-convection heat transfer in an open-ended, vertical, concentric, annulus of radius ratio 0.5. One wall is isothermal while the other wall is adiabatic. A comparison is given between the present results and those available for circular tubes and parallel plate channels. 18 refs.
