Observation of bridging CO on Rh-SiO sub 2 by sup 13 C MAS NMR

The adsorption of CO on Rh-SiO{sub 2} catalysts has been studied by {sup 13}C MAS NMR. In addition to linear carbonyl species, substantial amounts of bridging CO were observed. Comparison is made with previous works in which bridging CO was not found by this technique.
