A solid-fuel-combustion system has proven feasible in reducing fuel costs in tunnel kiln firing applications. It is reported that coal firing of the kiln also increased production by 25% in a brick-manufacturing installation. The system was developed by Pullman Swindell, (Tech Data). Operating features are described.
