The report is organized into four volumes. Each addresses a different component of the information available on growth and growth management. Volume IV is a directory that attempts to collect and display in one place the types of information and data available from a variety of Federal agencies that local officials and planners may need in order to make informed decisions about local development. It provides excerpts from Federal agency catalogs describing the types of data maintained, contact points, and means and costs of accessing the data. Finally, the directory provides brief descriptions of assistance provided to communities by the nine states which have adopted statewide comprehensive planning initiatives.
