Supernova models based on accreting carbon-oxygen white dwarfs are presented. In these models, the explosion is triggered by the strong helium shell flash which occurs when the accretion forms a helium layer of substantial mass. The hydrodynamical behavior of the helium shell flash is computed through the explosion for three cases with different accretion rates.
