Nuclear safety control procedures for the Savannah River reactors
This document describes the control system and procedures currently in effect to ensure nuclear safety in the operation of the Savannah River reactors. It is intended to define administrative control agreements between the Savannah River Operations Office and the Contractor, E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, with respect to meeting the requirements of ERDA Manual Chapter 0540, Safety of ERDA-Owned Reactors. This document is in two parts: Part I contains a description of the basic system of control; it is approved jointly by the Savannah River Operations Office and Du Pont. Part I also serves as Category 5 of the Technical Specifications. Part II contains a more-detailed discussion and supplementary controls; changes in these details will be made by the Du Pont Atomic Energy Division when they appear to be necessary for improved operation of reactors or for clarification.
