The line runs from the Sun Oil Co. terminal on the Neches River near Nederland, Tex., to the storage area in West Hackberry, La. The strategic reserve program involves eight storage complexes and 238 mi of large diameter pipeline to connect these sites with terminals or existing pipeline systems. Presently, six sites are located along the gulf coast and two are in the Midwest. The eight storage sites will have a capacity of 412 million bbl, and by Dec. 1978, 150 million bbl will probably be placed in storage. The various storage sites, pipe lengths and sizes, and subcontractors are given and the construction work done by Price is described, including the pipes and the major construction equipment used.
