Federal regulation of PCB's under the Toxic Substances Control Act. [Regulations and control of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) as they affect the public power industry]

The role of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the control of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) is reviewed. Plans for disposal of PCB's by incineration in high-efficiency boilers are discussed. A plea is made to members of the utility industry to replace voluntarily PCB capacitors and transformers if available storage facilities are available. (JGB)
