2[ital s]2[ital p]2[ital p] [sup 4][ital P] state of He[sup [minus]]

The triply excited He[sup [minus]] 2[ital s]2[ital p]2[ital p] [sup 4][ital P] state is studied. The resonance position and width are calculated to high precision with a saddle-point complex-rotation method. The relativistic corrections and fine structures are also calculated. The absorption wavelength and oscillator strength from the He[sup [minus]] 1[ital s]2[ital s]2[ital p] [sup 4][ital P][sup [ital o]] state is computed to facilitate the observation of this resonance in synchrotron-radiation experiments.
