Inequivalence of five-dimensional relativity and Brans-Dicke theory

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. D; (United States)

We present a static spherically symmetric solution to the field equations R/sub A/B = 0 in five-dimensional relativity and use it to demonstrate a significant inequivalence between five-dimensional relativity and the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory.
