This volume reviews global activities in seismic reflection profiling, and includes summaries from ten countries on the status of deep reflection programs. In addition to a report on COCORP and reports by the US Geological Survey, other research institutions, and the US oil industry, other national programs covered include BIRPS (Britain), ECORS (France), DEKORP (Germany), and LITHOPROBE (Canada), as well as activities in Switzerland, Hungary, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. DSS (India), long-range studies in Europe, and classical work in Italy and China are also discussed.
