Title: Hydrotreatment catalyst activity enhancement: Quarterly report No. 14 for the period November 1, 1986 to January 31, 1987. [Effect of titanocene dichloride on catalyst coking]

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6699399

The series of experiments on the hydrogenation of Tetralin and quinoline mixtures was completed. The analysis of coke on the catalyst showed that in most cases titanocene dichloride reduced the coke formation on the catalyst. Additional runs were conducted on the hydrodesulfurization of dibenzothiophene. In hydrotreatment of SRC-II middle distillate, addition of titanocene dichloride showed no effect on desulfurization rate in noncatalytic experiments. In the catalytic hydrotreatment of SRC-II middle distillate, the effect of titanocene dichloride on catalyst coking, pore volume and surface area was insignificant. 10 tabs.
