Health assessment for Dover Municipal Landfill, Dover, Strafford County, New Hampshire, Region 1. CERCLIS No. NHD980520191. Addendum. Final report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6699305
The following statements supplement the indicated sections or are additions to the Dover Municipal Landfill Health Assessment of April 12, 1989, and are intended to update the Health Assessment format in accordance with the current Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) Health Assessment guidelines. The final Feasibility Study (FS) for the Dover Municipal Landfill site was released in February 1991 and the record of decision (ROD) in September 1991. The possible exposure pathways are evaluated to help determine whether persons have, are, or will be exposed to contaminants associated with the site. Based on a review of the available data, past ingestion of contaminated groundwater is the only completed exposure pathway. Sampling done in 1981 identified two contaminated wells. The exposure doses and carcinogenic risk will be calculated for the contaminants in the exposure pathway still being considered. The possible health consequences of those contaminants which exceeded health guidelines will then be reviewed. Based upon the most recent information reviewed for the Dover Municipal Landfill Site and the data in the original public health assessment, The NH DPHS and ATSDR conclude that the Dover Municipal Landfill Site is not an apparent public health hazard.
