The dynamics of intense plasma waves in a relativistic electron--positron plasma in a strong external magnetic field is studied. It is shown that a plasma wave can decay into two electromagnetic waves. One propagates in the same direction as the plasma wave, and the other propagates in the opposite direction. The single-plasma-wave approximation and the many-wave random-phase approximation are studied. This process may be of interest in the theory of pulsars radio emission.
