Solutions of coupled Einstein-SO(3) gauge field equations

It is shown that the coupled Einstein-SO(3) gauge field equations for a spherically symmetric metric, as given by Wang (M. Y. Wang, Phys. Rev. D 12, 3069 (1975)) have three types of solutions. The first two types, one of which is Wang's solution, have been obtained explicitly. For the third type, the field equations have been reduced to a single ordinary differential equation that is linear in its highest order and hence can easily be integrated numerically for given initial conditions.
