Postoperative radiation for women with cancer of the breast and positive axillary lymph nodes
Journal Article
·
· New Engl. J. Med.; (United States)
The author states his belief that further studies of routine radiation therapy of women with Stage II breast cancer are not waranted and further use of this treatment is not justified. He has not been able to find any systematic discussion within the medical community about what criteria will be used to reach some conclusion about the efficacy of radiation therapy in the large group of women with Stage II disease.
