Commutator algebra for the microscopic interacting boson model with nondegenerate orbits

We present a method for calculating matrix elements for a shell model Hamiltonian in the truncated shell model space of the interacting boson model for the case where the pairs are distributed with unequal amplitudes over several nondegenerate j orbits. Explicit formulas are presented for generalized seniority zero and two.
