Users' guide to Toolpack/1 tools for data dependency analysis and program transformation

This is a guide to the use of a collection of software tools for data dependency analysis and program transformation. The tools are written in Fortran in the tool-writing environment provided by Toolpack/1 and are easily incorporated into a Toolpack/1 installation. We focus on a Unix environment in which Berkeley Unix C-shell scripts provide the user interface to the tools. In this report, the operation of the tools is described in terms of two scripts named args and trans. 5 refs.
