Exploration bears fruit in Bolivia (in Spanish)

Three apparent gas-condensate discoveries made last April in southeastern Bolivia signal the successful beginning of exploratory drilling in the Chaco basin. If proven commercial, the finds will spark an unprecedented exploratory effort in Bolivia and neighboring Paraguay. Located in the Robore subbasin, the prospective areas were originally delineated by extensive aeromagnetic studies conducted in the late 1960's. Working conditions in the semi-arid area are difficult. The main problem so far has been in transporting drilling equipment and supplies to the work site.
