Policies to dispose of wastes vary from country to country with little recognition of an international problem. For the most part, the goal is to dispose of such wastes with minimum change to the industrial processes which create the problem. A summary of the situation is presented for: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
