Gluon condensate and leptonic decays of vector mesons

We consider the power-law corrections to the asymptotic-freedom predictions for vacuum polarization by a photon. The corrections are determined by the square of the gluon-field stress tensor (gluon condensate) averaged over the vacuum. The analysis makes it possible to calculate the lepton widths of the rho/sup 0/ and phi/sup 0/ mesons. The results agree well with experiment.
