Threshold pion photoproduction and radiative pion capture. III. /sup 3/He bold-arrow-left-right /sup 3/H

We have calculated the rate for radiative pion capture from a 1s atomic orbital for the /sup 3/He(..pi../sup -/,..gamma..)/sup 3/H analog transition. We obtain reasonable agreement with the experimental Panofsky ratio when this radiative capture rate is combined with our estimate of the corresponding /sup 3/H(..pi../sup -/,..pi../sup 0/)/sup 3/H charge exchange rate. Threshold pion photoproduction cross section estimates are also given.
