The training system at the Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary was constructed according to International Atomic Energy Agency quidelines and maintenance practices. The reactor personnel work around the clock during outages, which last 6 months. The training consist of both practical and theoretical phases. The reactor maintenance course has the following structure: 1. construction and operation of reactor, 2. special reactor maintenance equipment, 3. assembling and disassembling reactors, 5. maintenance technologies, and 6. failure histories.
