This report is part of an ongoing series of quarterly publications that monitors discoveries of oil and natural gas in foreign countries and provides an analysis of the reserve additions that result. Preparation of the report is performed by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the US Department of Energy (DOE) under the Foreign Energy Supply Assessment Program (FESAP). A summary of discoveries and reserve additions that result from recent international exploration and development activities is presented. EIA believes that this information is useful to petroleum industry analysts, various government agencies, and political leaders for the development, implementation, and evaluation of energy policy and legislation. 23 refs., 9 figs., 4 tabs.
