Phonon interaction with an odd quasiparticle and l-forbidden. beta. transitions
We consider l-forbidden ..beta.. transitions of odd spherical nuclei. The phonon density matrix of the even-even core is constructed and the Hamiltonian of the interaction of an odd quasiparticle with a phonon is written down within the framework of the theory of finite Fermi systems. Using a variational procedure, we obtain the explicit form of the wave functions of the ground states of the parent and of daughter nuclei. In the choice of the wave function, account is taken of only the ''single-quasiparticle'' and ''single-quasiparticle+phonon'' components. An expression for the reduced nuclear matrix element of the l-forbidden ..beta.. transition is obtained within the framework of the indicated approximation. The inclusion of the ''quasiparticle+phonon'' state in the analysis introduces into the transition matrix element terms that are responsible for ..beta.. decay without change of the orbital quantum number l. The values of log f/sub 0/t calculated for l-forbidden ..beta.. transitions of the nuclei /sup 65/Ni, /sup 65/Zn, /sup 65/Ga, /sup 67/Cu, and /sup 69/Ge are in better agreement with experiment than the values obtained in the single-quasiparticle approximation.
