Radiative and hadronic transitions of the charmonium [sup 1][ital P][sub 1] state

Hadronic transitions of the charmonium [sup 1][ital P][sub 1] (=[ital h][sub [ital c]]) state into [ital J]/[psi] are considered in the QCD multipole expansion. Using the decay rate of [chi][sub [ital c][ital J]][r arrow][ital J]/[psi]+[gamma] and a quantum-mechanical sum rule, we estimate [Gamma]([ital h][sub [ital c]](1[ital P])[r arrow][ital J]/[psi][pi][sup 0])[gt]1.6 keV, which is close to the recent measurement by E760, [Gamma]([ital h][sub [ital c]](1[ital P])[r arrow][ital J]/[psi][pi][sup 0])[similar to]1 keV. Other transitions of [ital h][sub [ital c]] are also considered in the same context.
