Periodic specific-heat discontinuity at the normal-superconducting phase boundary of a hollow cylinder and its relation to fluxoid quantization

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. B: Condens. Matter; (United States)
Quantization of the fluxoid in a hollow superconducting cylinder imposes a periodicity on the specific-heat discontinuity at the second-order phase transition boundary as a function of magnetic field. This implies that the thermal properties of a hollow cylinder are coupled to the fluxoid-quantization condition.
