Fifth symposium on macrocyclic compounds

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6645910
The fifth symposium on macrocyclic compounds was held at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, 10-12 August 1981. The objective of the symposium was to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of research activities in the field of macrocyclic compounds (large organic molecules which selectively bind metal ions in aqueous and non-aqueous solutions). Both theoretical and experimental aspects of the properties and behavior of synthetic and naturally occurring macrocyclic compounds were covered. The symposium consisted of a series of invited lectures as well as the presentation of accepted contributed papers. The papers presented at the symposium will not be published as it was desired to retain an atmosphere of informality in which results of a preliminary nature may be presented.
