Transfer molding of flat flexible cable terminations

The terminations of cables are normally sealed with either liquid epoxy or polyurethane encapsulating resins. The report describes the use of two different transfer molded powdered epoxy compounds for sealing of flat, flexible cables which were laminated with acrylate adhesive. One of the molding compounds was mineral-filled and the other was glass fiber filled.
