Limitations in the latest version of the solar load ratio (SLR) correlation for passive solar design analysis are discussed. It is noted that while the SLR Method in Volume Three of the Passive Solar Design Handbook is much more sophisticated than the original SLR technique, it has also become unwieldy for the average user.
