Kenneth Randall: two-way communicator

Journal Article · · EPRI J.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6625408
Kenneth Randall, chairman of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Advisory Council, urges more long-term basic research to keep the utility industry alive, although he foresees an adequate delivery system by the year 2025. His concern is that electric power is basic to the well-being of the US economy, and the electricity component of providing adequate jobs and competitive products needs more attention and more funds. He softens his comments by acknowledging the current conflict-of-interest constraints on management. Randall's background as both regulator and manager enables him to communicate needs and help to find remedies. (DCK)
