Radiative corrections to the symmetry mass relations of Majorana neutrinos

The one-loop contributions to Dirac and Majorana fermion masses are discussed. We extend a theorem by Weinberg for Dirac fermions and prove that the one-loop contributions give only finite corrections to the symmetry mass relations of Dirac and Majorana fermions if these relations are independent of parameters in the Lagrangian or if they are imposed by global or discrete symmetry. As an application, the pseudo-Dirac neutrino is discussed. In an SU(2)/sub L/ x U(1) model, we evaluate the mass splitting of the pseudo-Dirac neutrino explicitly and discuss its relation to a possible discrete symmetry.
